Gibson SG Standard

Gibson Les Paul Standard

which has a better sound for some hardcore/emocore/screamo/rock kinda genre??

which ever is more comfortable for you to play. i like playing my les paul better than my teachers sg because of where the bridge is. on sg's the bridge is right up against the pick up and its just weird for me to palm mute and stuff. and for some reason i just like les pauls better but i would never turn down an SG.
of course mines and epiphone. but its not one of those piece of shit epiphones like a lot of people have.

ESP and Paul Reed Smith are the shit!! Seriously, get one of those!! I know PRS guitars are barely affordable, except for the Tremonti SE edition, which is at 600 bucks and still got pretty high rated reviews at harmonycentral.com.

I'm gonna get my ESP LTD Steve Carpenter (Deftones guitarist) model soon...

i have a epi lp as well, and all my friends say they cant believe how great it feels and sounds, they are jealous of a cheap guitar

anyways i would love to have a SG and a Marshall JCM-800 amp, or JCM-2000 amp, oh to be rich that would be my favorite setup for punk/emo and a vintage telecaster and my blues junior would be my favorite set up for jamming with friends, hook up a tube screamer to a fender blues junior and it sounds deadly

anyways like others said go with what feels right, no need spending large amounts of money on something that you dont like playing (as i stare at my acoustic with extremely high action)

Neither. I suggest an Epiphone Elite SG61 Reissue, which is my guitar, for only $1375.

Why? It's thinner, has better fret spacing, sounds superb, and doesn't have that horrificly heavy neck that the gibson sg's have because the necks are so damn fat. Also, it just looks sexier.
