I was lucky enough to be able to see Jack's Mannequin last night as the special guest for Dashboard Confessional. Just so you know, I do not know the set lists of any of the other bands. This might be out of order, but this is what they played:

1. Kill The Messenger
2. Bruised
3. The Mix Tape
4. Bruce Springsteen Cover
5. La La Lie (West Coast Winter Version)
6. Rescued
7. The Astronaut (Something Corporate cover for the truly sad who don't know.)
8. MFEO: Parts 1&2
9. Dream? It was an oldies cover, recognized the song, just don't know whose it is.

They played really mellow versions of the songs, with minimal drum work and a string bass, it was pretty cool. I've seen them three times now and I have to say this was probably my favorite of the three. Yes, they could have ditched the covers and thrown in "Dark Blue" and/or "Holiday from Real" but hey, sometimes you just gotta take what you can get. Also, "The Astronaut" was a real treat, only Andrew and Clutch played on this song.

Dashboard, for anyone who cares, was ok, not a big fan but my friend wanted to stay so I did.

The Astronaut?!
ahhh...excuse me while I kick myself for not living in California.
That's one of my favorite songs.
I would only be so lucky to see either Jack's Mannequin or (maybe not ever) Something Corporate before I die

Just wondering if I am the only one that has completely given up hope on Something Corporate ever being a current band again? I guess we just have to go to as many Jack's Mannequin shows as possible so we can hear one or two SoCo songs at a time....

Pretty sure I heard that after the tour cycle for the next Jack's Mannequin album Andrew would be heading back to Something Corporate. Don't know if that is a hundred percent true, but I thought I heard or read it somewhere.

I'm still wishing for a comeback every time I catch 11:11.
kind of a tribute I guess.
I would pay any amount of money to go to that show.

In case you didn't notice, in that clip he says that once he is done promoting "Everything in Transit" he is going to go back to SoCo. Now he is working on another JM record....

Andrew actually said at that concert that Something Corporate was going back to the studio to record.

when did he say that? if he did I must have missed it.

He said it either before he played The Astronaut or right after he finished. I'm pretty sure it was before though. And yeah i almost missed it too, there was lots of applause after he said it, and so I wasn't sure if that was what he said, but I confirmed it with all my friends, and they all heard it too.
