I liked the offspring doing the ramones' 'I wanna be sedated', not much variation but good anyway. Homegrown did a cover of that aqua song 'barbie girl' at a concert,that was pretty good too.

This isn't the best cover song, But I still have to love it.

Starting Line - Nothing's gonna stop us now.

I have no clue who originally sang it, but it's in the movie mannequin. Which could quite possibly be one of the greatest movies ever. Plus, it's a great cover.

it makes me so very happy to see so many people who liked the "boys of summer" cover from the ataris. i love the ataris' music with all my heart... pre-so long, astoria. but that song makes me heart melt.
i'd also have to say... weezer's "earth angel", new found glory's "don't want to miss a thing" (aerosmith), yellowcard's "everywhere" (michelle branch), save ferris' "build me up, buttercup" (the temptations), and the ataris' "i remember you" (skid row)(on punk goes metal)

My band does a cover of "House of the Rising Sun" by the Animals. The original is a great song, and when we play it we do it pretty hardcore. The first show we played, kids were singing along with that song.

When I saw Fenix Tx for the 3rd time in Jacksonville, they did a badass cover of "territorial pissings" (the nirvana song) and a pretty good cover of "so fresh so clean" by outkast

Fenix Tx kicks so much ass live. I know Fu Manchu isn't punk, but their cover of "jailbreak" (thin lizzy) was pretty badass to.
