So, Im sitting here, just startet on my homework, which is due today at 12 oclock (Two weeks go waay to fast). I have to write an analysis on the film Whale Rider, in English! (Yeah, im lazy.. always tend to start things a bit late..)

So.. First question.
Has anyone seen this movie? -Im having a bit of difficulty with what the main theme actually is..?

I haven't written a paper, or anything really, in english in a really long time, and im having a little grammar problem.. Can I write: "Paikea is played by Keisa Castle-Hughes, a 13 year old newcomer. I think she portraits Paikea quite well, and she manages to make Paikea real and to catch the viewers."

Really appreciate any help I can get :)

I have never even heard of this movie, so I can't help you in that regard, but...a "portrait" is a picture of someone's face, so the verb you're looking for is "portray". The end of the sentence seems a little off to me for some reason, but I guess it's fine.

Portray! Of course, thanks! ;)
