All of these bands are amazing. Weatherbox's new album is in my top 2 for the year. (I haven't decided if it's #1 yet.)

I just started listening to Cobra Skulls, so I guess them.

And I only found out about Defiance Ohio this year, so those guys too.

This year has to be The Dear Hunter for me. other than that, i dont think any other new bands stuck with me.

I'm not narrowing it down to strictly "new" bands.. more-so bands that are getting noticed or about to have a bit of a break through. Basically, bands that are getting/deserve more respect for what they're doing of late.

I hope that clears it up a little as to why I listed bands like Kaddisfly, 65dos, and Nurses. Bands that have been going at it for a while now.
