i've seen both these bands play and paper rivals is like 40 times the band that envy is. woot.

I'm glad to hear that...they just don't get the exposure that envy does but once their full lenght comes out I think things will change. I mean EOTC is good but I don't know if all the hype is justified yet I haven't seen them live so it might. Did Paper Rival play any new songs when you saw them live...I was amazed at how good their new stuff sounds...so intense!!

Envy on the Coast and Paper Rival are both pretty awesome!!
But, I think it just depends on the moods you're in to which ones better.
I voted for Envy on the Coast!!!

Envy On The Coast wins easily.
They're different (well to me) and I like it.
I can't wait to see them at Slim's on the 9th.

I happen to love Envy on the Coast's sound. You people seem to be saying that they have a generic sound, and rely on a certain look to get by, but, I doubt that. Granted, i've never head Paper revival, and i'm sure they are talented, but, envy is too. I've never heard a blend of music quite like theirs before, it's interesting and new; they have a lot of hype because they deserve it.
