Anyone going? I thought it'd be fun, despite the moderately high price tag ($75 for eight movies). Summaries:

The Deaths Of Ian Stone
- Tells the story of an all-American guy who is murdered each day by horrifying pursuers, only to wake up in slightly different lives to experience the terror of being murdered again.

Mulberry Street
- A deadly infection breaks out in Manhattan, causing humans to devolve into blood-thirsty rat creatures. Six recently evicted tenants must survive the night and protect their downtown apartment building as the city quickly spirals out of control.

Tooth And Nail (quite a cast including Michael Madsen, Vinnie Jones, Rider Strong, Robert Carradine)
- A group of people in a post-apocalyptic world fight to survive against a band of vicious cannibals.

Unearthed
- A vicious creature thats been trapped for 900 years, gets unearthed during an archeological dig in the middle of a desolate town. As the carnage escalates, the local sheriff and a group of stranded civilians must find a way to destroy the creature that only has one mission complete annihilation.

Borderland
- On a trip to a Mexican border town, three college friends stumble upon a human-sacrifice cult.

Lake Dead
- Three sisters and a group of their friends take a trip to the home of the recently deceased grandfather -- who died a particularly grisly death -- to learn more about the promise of an inheritance, only to encounter a family of psychos who have taken up residence in the old man's cabin.

Nightmare Man
- After receiving a mysterious demonic African mask in the mail, ELLEN MORRIS is attacked by a "being" she refers to as THE NIGHTMARE MAN.

Crazy Eights
- Circumstance brings six childhood friends together to face their past, and a secret they share.

I think the premise of The Deaths Of Ian Stone sounds like it could be really good.

Yeah, The Deaths of Ian Stone sounds pretty good.

I saw most of the films from last years Horrorfest when they came out on DVD recently and they weren't that good. And most of the releases by After Dark films are ... meh. So, I don't know how these one will be. They sound promising though.

Wasn't impressed by last year's films except for The Hamilitons and Penny Dreadful.

I think I'm just going to wait for Unearthed, Mulberry Street, and The Deaths of Ian Stone to hit DVD.

Ew, really? I hated the Hamiltons. Penny Dreadful was pretty good though. Rachel Miner is in Tooth And Nail as well.

If they all come out on DVD I will get them then. I love horror movies.

Eh, different strokes for different folks. I just like those two over the other garbage that was spat out. I'm hoping that the films this year are actually good, though...especially The Deaths of Ian Stone, which I'm really hoping will be great.

I have higher hopes for these films, if for no other reason than that quite a few of them seem more like movies that would be in theaters, as opposed to last year when they were really nothing more than direct-to-dvd slop.

None of the last eight were good and these sound terrible.

penny dreadful was the only one last year i even remotely enjoyed.

i'll check every one of these out though when they come to dvd.

tooth and nail and lake dead sound sweet.

i only saw the hamiltons of last years horrfest. i was disapointed. i thought these movies were deemed, "too much for horror audiences in theatres to take." not even close.
