Picture Perfect

As the pressures building up,
I am tearing down.
All I want to do is leave.

The picture perfect dream
will one day come to me.
But 'til that day is here,
All I'll feel is fear (and wonder)

I try so hard to do okay,
But you point out all of my mistakes.

Things happen for a reason,
But I'm not sure of mine.
I wish I could go back to when
I had the picture perfect life.

You showed me the light,
And I showed myself the way.
I'm at the end of this tunnel, hoping for the day.
Hoping for the day, that things will be okay,
Between you and me and the rest of the world.

At the point where I'm standing, hoping, screaming, dreaming, seeing,
I realize that day will never come.

I hate all of this fighting, yelling, screaming.
You act like things are just fine.
Then I turn around just to watch you turn your back on all of my dreams.

He seems like he can't stand me.
And she's always mad for something.
Even the world can be pretty mean.

The perfect day will come,
one day or another.
'Til then I'll stay under these covers (hiding).

The only problem I have with this is that you use WAY too many cliches.
