Is anybody else sick of hearing about how much so-and-so Lead Singer wants to rip off his ex-girlfriend's head and beat her to death for all the excruciating agony she caused him?

I love the music, but I'm sick of hearing about bad relationships. Find something better to write about, or else find a creative way of writing about bad relationships. You were probably a shitty boyfriend anyway, wasting your time practicing with the band and playing shows at the Olive Garden. You have to wonder what can justify lyrics like "I'm gonna kill you / I'm gonna kill you / Now I'm insane" (Senses Fail).

Before you uptight fuckwads explode in fury, I understand that there are bands out there who don't always write about bad relationships. So fucking cram it. This is about the bands who do, and that's the majority of them out there.

Even though I disagree for the most part, it is pretty amusing. Watch this:

Story of the Year: My hands are at your throat/and I think I hate you (Until the Day I Die)

Finch: With my hands around your neck/who will stop me now? (Three Simple Words)

The Used: With my foot on your neck/I finally have you/right where I want you (Buried Myself Alive)

Haha, but the thing is I like each of those songs

finally someone who agrees with me

emo really has to be stopped...it really doesnt take as much talent to write as so many people think it does...

the thing i really dont get is....these "emo" guys in bands, who it seems every girl in the world loves and thinks is so hot, still cant seem to get any girls going by their songs? doesnt make sense to me,

not sure if it was you who said they dont like Streetlight Manifesto....but thats one of the main reasons why I like them so much: their lyrics. they talk about things other than relationships, which you must admit is a breath of fresh air, like them or not.
