It's autumn. The leaves are falling, the temperature is dropping, and I'm drinking a hell of a lot more coffee. I'm also listening to different bands than I do in the summer, winter, and spring.

What are some of your favorite bands/albums to fit the autumn mood?

I usually listen to mellow stuff. More acoustic guitar, clean guitars, less pop-punk, etc.

Matt Pond PA - Emblems, Several Arrows Later
Belle and Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister
Slowdive - Souvlaki
The National - Boxer
Owen - At Home With Owen
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Joy Division - Closer
Brian Eno - Another Green World
Jazz

and most importantly
Simon and Garfunkel's Discography

Since I saw the thread back in the general, I'll go with City and Colour.

Whoa! It's already there? I never check general, and I just assume they don't talk music. Oh well

Ha yeah. Well it was technically on c&c and not on fall music but inside it had a mention of it being autumn weathered tunes.

They don't really change on a seasonal basis because Arizonanites are never really subject to too many drastic changes in weather. There are those particularly gray winter days that call for bands like Jawbreaker, The Broadways, J Church, Fifteen, etc.

Don't worry about city and colour. All the bands you wrote are far better. Iwasacamera's is good too.

when i think of fall, one album comes to mind and that's One For The Kids. I guess it's because I first heard it in the fall back in high school. i would freeze my ass off on the way to school every morning jamming that cd. good times. it still fits the season perfectly for me. that's always gonna be the best Yellowcard cd imo.

Closer and The Queen Is Dead, respectively. But my favorite Joy Division song is Love Will Tear Us Apart.
