Interested in starting a band in the DC/Northern VA area???

I'm trying to start a band while I'm up at school. DC has a big scene, and I can easily get us lots of gigs with my connections. I play rhythm guitar and piano. I write lots of riffs and interesting lyrics. My influences are wide and include Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Straylight Run, Matchbook Romance, Vendetta Red...actually I listen to pretty much anything. I just want to rock out and play some shows, maybe get more serious if we're good. So I'll play whatever we write. my band spilt up a while ago. We were at it for like two years I guess. We were Boldly Going Nowhere, we had kind of a reputation I guess. Anyways, I'm a guitarist/pretty bad-ass singer, I'll work with you. I'm in the Alexandria area, like nine minutes outside DC.
