High Five Drive started off the night. If anybody here has ever heard of them, there from Winnipeg, and they played awesome, good, fast songs with and uncomparable drummer. The show was at a smaller venue (max. capacity 150, and there was under a 100) so the pitting didn't start till later. High Five Drive didn't get as appreciated as they should've, but in the end I thought they were a kick-ass band.

The Undecided were on next. They were a fairly good band, I didn't like them, so I kinda stood there, watched, bobbed my head for a couple of songs. That's about it.

Mae came on next (three starting bands?). The wait for Rufio was starting to get longer, and hey, even I get inpatient. Anyways, Mae came out and they played awesome. Their band has potential, everybody there got into their songs, it was pretty sweet.

Rufio came on next. They rocked out the place. As soon as their first song kicked out, the pit started. I was right up front for the whole thing (no guard rail, the whole front row was leaning on the stage, the band within reach. That's what made it so awesome.) They played unbelievably, even tho the turnout was only a hundred or so, they gave it their all and the crowd loved it. Scott dedicated Dipshit to a bunch of ppl in the front row, that was sweet. The security guard told Clark to tell us to move back from the stage, so he told us but then was just like 'fuck it' then they started playing Save the World. Jon fell backwards into the pit while playing. Jon got into it, screaming every word inches from our face along with us, it was awesome. Mike was going crazy on the drums the whole concert, it was unbelievable. The first crowd surfer (well, stage dive if a 3 foot high stage counts) got props from Scott, got kicked out by a security guard , but then got back in and back to the front.

At the end they were on stage disputing what song to finish with, everybody in the crowd screaming 'ABOVE ME!'. Scott says 'Well, the last song we play is definetly not going to be Above Me' then started the intro on his electric, the crowd went nuts. They were about to go off until everybody started chanting Rufio, then they tried to play a Madonna cover song, but nobody knew the words so they just played another loud, fast, typical Rufio song.

After the concert everybody got to go on stage, talk to the band (I got a drumstick, the base pik from Above Me, and two electric piks - one from Clark himself and another one found on the stage floor). The band was talking and laughing and meeting everybody who was there, they were awesome.

All in all, the concert rocked. Rufio is an amazing band to see live, they play for everybody, there's some bands who think their the shit and only play in front of huge crowds, but Rufio played their best even though there was only about a hundred there. One of the best bands I've ever seen live, and the best band for after-the-show shit.

AWESOME.
I would love to go to a Rufio concert. Or any concert this winter. But alas, I live in Alaska and all we have is the Alutiq dancers and Barney on Ice...okay no Barney on ice ( but I can dream cant I?)

I dont care how many people hate on Rufio now, they have more talent than over half the pop punk/ emo bands out there today.
Props.
