Roger Cossack on ESPN said that it depends on the number of counts (which he didn't know when he was on which was at 5:30 EST) but that these things are normally measured in years, not months in terms of time to be served.

Matt Cain is a #3 starter, not an ace. Jon Sanchez had a terrible year and has had bad control throughout his career (75 BB in 158 IP, 1.45 WHIP in 2008), and he's going to be 26, so chances are he's not going to improve very much.
