Quick question. Has anyone seen a show on this tour yet? I'm just curious if Fear Before is actually opening/playing first at these shows. I'm going but might be late, and I surely don't want to miss any Fear.
Thanks.

I don't see how TDH are playing since 3/4 of the band called it quits ...

Yeah, sorry, I don't know much about what's going on with that and didn't even think about it. I did read that some dudes had stepped in though, so who knows. Did they drop off or something? All I know is Fear is playing before Ours and that should not be.

I don't know man. I'm not a fan of any of those bands asides from The Dear Hunter and if it's true how people are stepping in to help or whatnot, that'sgood to hear on my part. Sorry I couldn't help!

I would like to know this as well, because I'll be going to this show tomorrow.
I'm stoked for Circa.

I wanted to go to this so bad when it was in NJ. I love Circa live and I've been FBTMOF crazy for the past few months. The Always Open Mouth is so good. Good thing is I'm seeing Circa with Thursday on New Years Eve. I wish FBTMOF would go on the bill.

Haha, that or at least playing right before Circa (I'm pretty sure they've sold more) but anyway a few people have said they play 1st.

I hope for thursday's sake that this never would occur, but Atreyu would definately be head-lining. And that ain't cool!

Fear is the second band. They have a horrible set, it was sickening to sit through them. Ours is weird very late 90's drowny depresso music. The only band that was enjoyed was Circa.

Woah dude. That ain't cool. Fear are great dudes and they've got a pretty decent fan base. I really do believe they make fucking unreal music, it's just not for everybody.

What about the Dear Hunter? Were they even there? Whole band or just Casey on the acoustic geetar? Please divulge.

I'm not dissing the music, I know people love them. The live show was atrocious and he couldn't command the crowd at all.

Its a whole band but then again we got this tour 3 days after it started. They were actually second best after circa.

Oh nice! I heard through the e-grapevine that some of the dudes of the Junior Varsity filled in for the members that quit. Good to hear they're tight though; seeing them in March, hopefully they don't disappoint!

When I went, it was Dear and the Headlights/Envy on the Coast (who filled in for Ours)/FBTMOF/Circa in exactly that order.
Dear and was alright, but acoustic bands aren't too great live for me... they were funny guys when it came to dealing with hecklers though. Envy was unexpected but put on a good show, 2nd best of the night. FBTMOF was kind of bad. The music itself sounded better live, but all they really did on stage was give the finger and play samples from movies between songs. Circa had a great set though.

It's pretty much common sense man.....it was BRAND NEW's HEADLINING tour...."BRAND NEW...with special guests"....not to mention Brand New is a bigger draw then Thrice as far as selling tickets. The same thing goes for Every Time I Die playing before Underoath....it was UNDEROATH's headlining tour, Underoath are a bigger draw ticket wise....etc.

I completely agree with you. Except for the Underoath part. I'd picture ETID as a bigger draw.

What I mean by "draw" is ticket sales/fan base...etc....not whether said band is better then the other band. Underoath have a couple gold selling albums....and overall have a larger fanbase then Every Time I Die. That's all I mean.

I know what you meant but what I was saying was I would think that ETID would have more fans. Underoath isn't that good..? But then again no one cares about music anymore. It seems to me that the people who go to the show just want to suck Spencer Chamberlain's dick because they seem to think he's God....and most of them are 13ish.
Beats me.

the show i went to near albany was really great. some important guy from evr was there so i guess they felt pressured to play really well. my only criticism is that i got the impression that the lead singer of ours is in love with his own voice. i might have enjoyed them, but he really detracted from the music. being good is one thing, but throwing around minute long vocal solos at the end of an already 6 minute long song... ehh. careless. heh, i guess all the training in the world can't make you into a decent frontman.

I really wish FBTMOF would have played at least one song from either Art Damage or Odd How People Shake but everything they played was from TAOM (excluding Epic Song, which was a B-Side)
But i guess it fit the style of music that was being played by the rest of the bands better.
