my friend's little sister wants to know, and I could care less. So instead of digging for that info, I thought i'd ask and see if anyone just knew.

Thanks.

Yeah, i'm really far too lazy to change it, besides, that's is STILL hella gay of you.

I do sound fairly stupid tho, my comment is unecissary, it just looks gay. I should atleast venture to delete that part, but i'm too lazy.

It's not what he plays, it's how badly he plays it.

Oh come on! You can dislike the band all you want, but he is a decnet guitar player.

if you enjoy the whole "I play guitar for a pop band" thing.

I commend his skill on a technical level, but he doens't write very good music. That whole album sounds the same, as their last album sounded all the same. No uniquiness

If you think this guy is actually talented, you really don't play guitar. Or you do play guitar, you just suck really, really badly.

He also plays a 70's issue telecaster. Him and Jesse Lacey...how I envy them.

I tend to disagree. I didn't love the Young and the Hopeless too much either, but I think the songwriting on Good Charlotte was FANTASTIC. But I guess that's a matter of opinion. So yah, whatever.

What they said wasn't even the slightest bit irrelevant. In fact, i'm not sure you even know what that word means.

Actually I know exatly what that means. Weather or not he plays in a band that you approve of not, or what that bands image is, is completly irrelevant to weather or not hes a good or bad guitar player.

Okay, allow me to point out something "relevant":

-As a guitar player of 4 years, I can play everything they've ever recorded...BEHIND MY HEAD or WITH MY TEETH.
There's nothing technical, there's nothing even slightly challenging to it. Sure, it's catchy, and he can write his own parts. Wowee. It's not hard to write pop punk parts, seeing as most of them are the same line repeating with no scale changes, and about three notes played in total.

I'm not trying to be cocky here by stating that I play guitar and have for awhile. I'm trying to give you a comparison. I think a second year guitarist could play everything he's written with ease.

MaybeOneDay

Yes it does. He writes songs using his guitar, for the style of music he plays, which is pop-punk. Pop-punk songs, in GC's case, are not complicated and not musically "good". Therefore, he is not a good guitar player. If he really had any major skills on the guitar, he'd show it in the music he writes.

By the way, there are a few good charlotte songs I don't mind. Quite a few actually. So it's not like I dissaprove of them. I'm just stating facts.

they're not tlaking about their "image" dumb ass. They're tlkaing about their sound. Pop-punk is a genre, a type of music, which Good Charlotte falls under.

The music you write is in DIRECT relevence to your SOUND, in Good charlotte's case being POP-PUNK.

Please shut up now. We've shown we know what we're tlaking about, and this is a stupid topic to begin with. Good Charlotte has been picked apart time and time again, just let the thread die.
