Hey guys. These are just a few opinions expressed by very worthy publications in the British Isles about the band. Listen and you will judge. Thanks a mill. j g

"In Case Of Fire are immense - perhaps a little serious - but immense, this is a band staring in the face of commercial music so intensely, that commercial music is buckling, blinking and running away screaming for its mummy. This is racket with a soul; underneath huge waterfalls of guitar are songs like 'Second Revelation'. Fast furious stuff that people are gonna fall in love with."

"Paul Brannigan, Kerrang!: “There are a load of great new British bands around right now like Glamour Of The Kill. But the best new band I’ve heard in ages are In Case Of Fire, they’re from Northern Ireland and they’ve recorded an amazing album which deserves a wider audience.”"

No I don't think so. I haven't heard anything to the contrary anyway.

Here's some news regarding the management appointment and upcoming album.

In Case Of Fire have signed a management deal with Craig Jennings of Raw Power. The company also looks after the likes of Gallows, Funeral For A Friend and Fightstar. Craig has been in the business for over 20 years, working with the likes of Pop Will Eat Itself and Kevin Rowland. A series of other management companies, including the heavyweight Q Prime, had also been in talks with the band in Belfast last week.

Their album, 'Align The Planets' is due for release early in 2008. Paul Brannigan, editor of Kerrang! says: "The best new band I've heard in ages are In Case Of Fire, they're from Northern Ireland and they've recorded an amazing album which deserves a wider audience."

Nope i'm not sure yet. I've heard Second Revelation from Transmissions is going to be included. I love the album title. It fits really well with a lot of the content from what I've heard so far.

Yeah I think it fits really well myself. I'm really excited to hear it now. A few of my friends that live up around there are heading to the gig on the 30th. I reckon I'll check it out myself if I've the time. I'd love to see them again.

Hey guys,

I just recently found this forum and seen your posts about us and wanted to say thanks for all the support, we really appreciate it.

Just wanted to keep you up to date with a few happenings over the last week or so.

First off we've been asked to be the main support for Queens Of The Stone Age's UK tour in February, which will be fantastic. The dates are -

Feb 5 The Ambassador : Dublin
Feb 6 The Ambassador : Dublin
Feb 7 The Kings Hall : Belfast
Feb 9 Corn Exchange : Edinburgh
Feb 10 Leeds University Refectory : Leeds
Feb 11 Hammersmith Apollo : London
Feb 12 Guildhall : Southampton

Secondly we've been nominated in MTV's list of 'Spanking New Music For 2008' on their website along side acts such as Adele and Foals.

You can vote for your favourite artist/band as the one you think should break out in '08. So if any of you guys wanted to throw a few repeat votes our way then that'd be great as you can vote as many times as you like and you don't have to register. The address to vote is:

Thanks again guys,

Hey guys,

Not a prob, its great music to talk about. Yeah I heard about the QOTSA slot. Congrats! It sounds amazing, and I heard you guys are supporting 30 Seconds To Mars too, thats really good to hear, well deserved I might add.

I saw you guys a couple years back when I was studying in Ireland. A few of us went to see Fightstar, we didnt know who was supporting but we were more impressed by you guys. I picked up your demo that night, it still sounds awesome. When are you guys releasing the album?

Hey Guys,

Yeah, that Fightstar gig seems like a long time ago! That was a really good night though, we were pretty surprised at the reaction we got from the crowd, it was a nice boost. We can't wait to play the Ambassador shows with QOTSA - we haven't played Dublin in a long time and it's always great.

Anyway, we just wanted to say thanks lads for voting for us in the MTV competition - we found out over the last couple of days that we won it, beating all the signed acts like Foals, Adele etc. and it's gone down as a bit of a shock to the industry cause we're still unsigned! I think the fact that we're a rock band and beat the indie acts has surprised people as well. But, thanks again lads for voting, it means a lot to us. You can view the live session and interview at - http://www.mtv.co.uk/spankingnew

Btw, our manager's currently talking to some labels at the moment so we're hoping to have things sorted out in the next month hopefully and then we'll know more about an album release date. As soon as we find out we'll give you guys a shout. If ya's are at the QOTSA gig, make sure and say hello - we'll probably be knockin about afterwards.

Hey man,

Yeah they're awesome. Glad you like them. They're virtually unknown in the States right now, but i'm sure we'll be hearing more about them soon. They finished up the UK and Ireland tour recently with Queens Of The Stone Age, so they're working on a few tracks for the album over in London at the moment.

Also, they're playing at the SXSW [South By South West] Festival in Austin, Texas on the 14th of March @ The Latitude 30 Club. So if anybody in the area wants to see them then I'd definatey advise them to check them out!

Northern Irish upstarts set the standard for rock in 2008.

While the vast majority of London is shut up indoors detoxing in a post Christmas cloud of guilt and self-improvement, at this tiny Camden Town venue there is magic in the air. Because tonight, In Case Of Fire - write down that name, you're going to want to remember it - prove themselves one of the best new bands in Britain.

Watching In Case Of Fire, you get a similar feeling to watching Muse back in 1999, where despite the lowly venues it's obvious that there's a special talent at play, ready to catapult them to the top of their game. They're faced with a less than animated, music industry heavy crowd, but with their focused passion, note-perfect musicianship and a charisma that simply can't be faked, they couldbe playing a Download headline set. In their heads, they probably already are.

The Muse comparison goes further than just the scale of this trio's ambition. Musically there are no limits as they flit from the baroque flourishes of opener 'This Time We Stand' to the jolting marriage of woozy stoner rock and visceral, unhinged At The Drive-In-style post-hardcore on 'Align The Planets', all fattened with an underlying squelchy funk to rocket things along. Perfectly chosen samples plug the silences between songs, never allowing the momentum to slow, and 'The Cleansing', with a riff many would sell their soul to write, is a rock club hit of the near future. As for the band themselves, they look like a gang you'd long to be apart of, cool without trying, and cocksure of themselves. As well they might be. Standing neatly outside of any trend, In Case Of Fire are a cult waiting to happen.

I picked up their demo the first time I went to see them a few years ago. They've changed around some of the songs on it, so might be better waiting until the album drops around February.

Their singles out at the moment on iTunes though. It has a song from the first demo as the b-side. Sounds amazing. Its only £1.99. Well well worth it.

Yeah I already have the single, I'm kind of obsessive when it comes to collecting bands demos/b-sides that's why I asked. I'd really love the demo if you wouldn't mind sending it.
