name is Joel and I love recording stuff using my guitar.. keyboard.. Apple Laptop.. and Logic Pro.
just wondering, if anyone else is recording stuff, how you do it, what you use...
stuff like that.

I use audacity, a bad mic, vodka, and my scribble pad.

Sonar LE (recording software)
Rode NT-1 microphone (probably the most amazing condenser mic under 500 dollars ever)
Edirol UA-4FX recording interface/preamp (it does the job pretty well, no tubes but it has a tube simulator)

^ sonar comes with the edirol so all of that only costs about 400 dollars if you buy it online. it's all you need for acoustic guitar, vocals, piano, and other acoustic instruments (like any orchestral instruments) but if you're doing something electric with drums you need like way more equipment.
