Earbuds vs. Headphones

Headphones are superior in every respect other than size, which doesn't matter when I'm sitting in my room listening to music. I could have fucking milk crate speakers strapped to my head, and as long as they sound better than earbuds, I'm totally ok with that.

Agreed. I'm currently using the earbuds that came with my mp3 player, but only until I have the money to go out and buy a decent pair of headphones.

yeah... ear buds are good for flexibility and mobility but the sound quality is so much better with proper headphones

Headphones if in my room. Earbuds with my ipod when I go anywhere else. When I first get an album, I've got to listen to it through my headphones though. Totally different experience than just earbuds or even my speakers.

i like the earbuds, but if the smallest thing comes loose or gets inside, it sounds like someone has just stuck a hive of pissed off bees in your ear. headphones are the best regardless of size.

Headphones definitely. I use them all the time at the computer, and while listening to music in bed or whatever. Earbuds are nice to have, for running and other things like that, but I'll take a nice pair of headphones anyday.

Earbuds get uncomfortable after you've worn them for a couple hours when you're new to them. This stopped after a few weeks. Well, similarly, I'm hoping I get used to these headphones.

I use earbuds because the size is convenient for me and they do not cause any problems when putting on/removing my hood in the winter (I use them while waiting for the bus). As for being uncomfortable, I have Sennheiser CX300's and they are very comfortable. They even come with 3 different sizes for comfort and noise cancelling.

I can't wear earbuds. Not only are they totally uncomfortable, but they sound like garbage. Unless you have them totally jammed into your skull, 95% of the sound doesn't seem to make it to your ear and it just sounds like a tinny, hissy, piece of trash.

Shure Onstage monitors. Got on discount when my old job was liquidating. Technically they are ear buds... but they are 250 dollar ear buds that kill off all sound. I heart them dearly.

i bought myself proper DJ quality headphones for like £50. never once have i regretted it. amazing sound quality. beats crappy earbuds anyday of the week

Headphones are typically better in terms of sound, but earbuds are more practical for mobility, so I use them much more often.

earbuds fucking suck, they have no bass so they pretty much rob you of every part of the music except like vocals and any lead part, so unless you listen to pop or rap earbuds are shit. plus i have yet to find a pair that will stay in my ears. you seriously have no atmosphere in your music unless you use headphones.

i personally like earbuds! especially the inner ear kind. I think you get better sound from them and they can block out any outside noise if they’re good enough.

Earbuds are really awesome. The only problem is that you eventually take them out of your ears. Even while they're in your ears they hurt. But you really notice the pain once they're out. :uhno: I like to stick with headphones. You get your music without pain. :jester:
