Manchester Orchestra has been one of my favorites since i first heard them about 2 years ago. they're record label, Favorite Gentlemen, also has some great bands.
one that caught my ear was All Get Out (http://www.myspace.com/LoudAsAllGetOut). listen to "Water and God"....it's so good.
please rec me anything else that might bear a resemblance to MO.

they're pretty decent. i've seen them on mtvU before. i don't think i could stand that dude's voice for long periods of time though.

This little indie band. Brand New. Their latest CD sounds a tad like M.O.

yep, already have the RAGC cd...most of the songs are kinda hit or miss for me, but overall i really like it. and the new song on their myspace is really really good too.

i'm guessing this comment is kinda aimed towards the fact that so many kids are on Brand New's nuts that they'll jump on whatever band(s) Brand New likes...while i'm definitely not going to argue that, as long as BN keeps taking great bands out on tour, i'll be more than happy to jump on the bandwagon.
not that it matters, but i was already a pretty big fan of MO, colour revolt, and anathallo before they ever toured with BN.

I suggest Manchester Orchestra fans just listen to the original indie bands that Manchester Orchestra ripped off and package to silly Brand New kids who grew out of pop punk a week earlier.
neutral milk hotel? the weakerthans? throw out a list....i'd appreciate it for real.
