Which album do you think is better by Something Corporate, North, or Leaving Out The Window. Personal I prefer Leaving Out The Window, that album is one of my favorite albums ever.

It's called "Leaving Through the Window". Pssh.
You don't even know the freakin' title of the album, and it's your favorite?

I guess thats pretty evident, you obviously got the point though so why are you bitching?
I'd have to say North is, mainly cuase the piano is more promenant (sp?) And cause only ashes is an amazing song :D

When I first heard "North," I was a little disappointed. The songs are not NEARLY as catchy as the ones on "Leaving Through the Window." I would also agree that the piano plays a bigger part in "North," which is both good and bad.
My favorite song off the "North" album is "Break Myself," which features a lot of piano. My favorite song off the "Leaving Through the Window" album is "Hurricane," in which the guitar is much more prominent than the piano for most of the song.
I'd say that overall I like "Leaving Through the Window" a lot more than "North," although I've gotten over my initial disappointment and I like the album now.

North. I think it's just a good fall/winter CD. I listen to music in seasons, like a true dork.

I hear you on the seasons. Sublime is definitely a summer band. You won't catch me cruising to La Center to gamble unless I'm playing something of that caliber.

It does seem like a good fall/winter cd. Its definitely going to be my winter soundtrack. So amazing. And I wont Make You is the best song. Period.

I'd have to say my favorite song is Only Ashes, and I also agree on the listening to music during different seasons, I thought people would think that was gay.

I think that's because its how it hits you. Just every song is wonderfully written, it's insane. This cd might top the year for me, if not, only beaten by the ataris "so long astoria", which is of the same calibur.

i listen to songs on like what the month is...ex: its november, so my song for the month is November Rain by Guns N Roses, yeah i'm a loser
North, even though I havnt listened to it nearly as much as I should yet...but Leaving is an awesome CD too...
personally I think Konstantine is their best song but its not on any MAIN cds...
I just don't get a kick out of Konstantine like everyone else does. I can't figure out why......

Hmmm, it's so tough to decide! I currently like North (Break Myself is an amazing song). Like you guys said, it's more of a 'winter' CD than a summer one (such as Leaving Through The Window). I proabably like them equally the same, but they are so different from eachother, North is neither a step forward or backward for Something Corporate, yet a step to the side. Something Corporate rocks all the same *high five* ;D

Wow, this is an old post ...
Anyways, I'd say Leaving Through the Window ... but I haven't given North much of a chance, it's first impressions, however, were above average.
Excellent band.
i like North, but i havent really listened to all of leaving through the window so ..

North most definetly. They've matured. No more singing about drunk girls, and little red headed bitches.

This is hard for me as Soco is my favorite band, but I'd have to say North because it shows so much promise for this band. The songs on North are well-written and a few show the ability to go into deeper subjects, which can be good. However, LTTW is just full of catchiness, great songs to just have a good time too and tearjerkers like Globes and Maps( My 3rd fav song by them, topped by Konstantine and Ben Franklin's Kite ). So it jsut depends on how you feel happy/sad. On another note, their demo cd( Ready....Break ) is filled with amazing slows song ( Ben Franklin's Kite, Konstantine, Caldecott Tunnel ) songs worth d/l. I recently talked to Andrew at a concert and there is talk of rerealising that Cd, but I'm sorry I've rambled on so much. Hope you enjoyed!
