wow this was such a great show. It was at UCSB (10/30/03) so there werent many people there which was cool because practically everyone got to meet the bands afterward and before if you were lucky. Ok so the show went something like this.

The Format - Theyre not a bad band, but their style kind of reminds me of the Strokes just a little faster. "First Single" was a good song live and the others werent too bad but being my first time i listened to them, they didnt keep me too interested. However i would give this band another chance, they only played around 5-6 songs so i dont know their full potential.

Mae - I heard like 3 songs and i thought they werent bad, but holy shit are these guys good live. They opened it up with "this time is the last time" and the crowd just went off. They played about 5 more songs, including "all deliberate speed" and "last call", and they only had time for 1 more. Their was a crowd vote between "summertime" and "embers and evnvelopes" and "summertime" won. Mae is one hell of a band live and i definitely recommend seeing them at a show.

Rx Bandits - Of course i was expecting an energetic show from these guys, and thats exactly what i got. Rx bandits are such a great band live and the whole place was dancing during their entire set. I dont have to say much more about these guys, they are just the shit live. Set list went something like: Overcome (with recapitulation), Sell You Beautiful, Consequential Apathy, Analog boy, In All Rwandas Glory, Infection, Never Slept So Soundly, Nugget, Who Would've Thought, Decrescendo.

Something Corporate - Such an amazing band to see live, full of energy and a great crowd interaction. Of course the only real complaint is being surrounded by young teenage girls, half your size, there to see Will and any other member they think is cute. The good thing is that the crowd knew every word to their songs and everyone had a good time. I believe the set list was: I Woke Up In A Car, Punk Rock Princess, Only Ashes, Down, I Want To Save You, Straw Dog, I Won't Make You, Fall, Space, Wait (an unreleased song), Konstantine, If U C Jordan, Hurricane.

Definitely one of the better shows I've been to and if you can catch this tour, then go and see some good bands.

I get to see this tour in eleven days, with Days Away in lieu of The Format. *sooo happy*

I'm glad Something Corporate's playing "Wait". A lot of their unreleased stuff is amazing.
