Atlantic
I don’t know where to start with this
Or if I should end it now before I make a bigger mess
Out of the one we’ve created
I still wish we could have made it
I guess it was inevitable
You had a new life within your reach
You grasped a hold onto all you could
And forgot the rest with grace misunderstood
Now I clench my fist and look up at the sky
My knuckles turn white as I try to find the reasons why
We hold onto false hopes and broken dreams
Things always are harder then what they seem
I raise my glass to you and your brand new life
A sip or three of wine and I’ll regress
Into what needs to be left behind this time
This time will be the last
I just need to let this go
And let the Atlantic reach its goal
I need to let you go
Let the Atlantic reach its goal
I don’t know where to start with this
Or if I should end it now before I make a bigger mess
Out of the one we’ve created
I still wish we could have made it
I guess it was inevitable
You had a new life within your reach
You grasped a hold onto all you could
And forgot the rest with grace misunderstood
Now I clench my fist and look up at the sky
My knuckles turn white as I try to find the reasons why
We hold onto false hopes and broken dreams
Things always are harder then what they seem
I raise my glass to you and your brand new life
A sip or three of wine and I’ll regress
Into what needs to be left behind this time
This time will be the last
I just need to let this go
And let the Atlantic reach its goal
I need to let you go
Let the Atlantic reach its goal
