Since it seemed to get lost in the fray in the news posting
I don't really think he got the oppertunity to interview him but in reards to people saying it is impossible, PBS was able to interview he previously for a piece they did on him.

So while highly unlikely, it is not impossible.

Yeah he was interviewed BEFORE he was the world's most wanted man. The situation is slightly different now.

First, I knew when it was done because I read the first line smart guy. The reporter was blindfolded and transported before meeting with him. This was done while he was still wanted in connection with other terrorist attacks and had been in hiding for quite some time due to the fact that the US was trying to kill him.

When he a had a sanctuary country from which to hide out openly in.
Is it impossible for an interview to happen now? No. But is it as easy or as likely as it once was, say in the late 90’s, when a number journalist did it, no again.

You mean like Pakistan? Who won't let anyone in to look for him?
I agree with you though, it probably went from nearly impossible to basically impossible but stranger things have happened

If he’s in Pakistan it is most likely in the inhospitable Waziristan region, which the Musharrif government has no control over. Slightly different then having all of Afghanistan and its theocratic government to hide under.
I have no problem with the second part. Although I would say a white Hollywood type like Morgan would have a real hard time getting in and out of Pakistan and its tribal areas without getting noticed by someone. And it’s not like Osama’s traveling to see him. Fair?

I don't think they have. This would be one of the most bizzare occurances in political history.
So far in this brief century we have had a president who lost the elecetion, a war with a country over based on nothing, and more bible-thumping gay politicians than I can count. A journalist getting an interview with the most wanted man in the world isn't that far fetched.

The book is by a guy named Lawrence Wright, and it's basically a history of radical Islam from it's birth in the 1960's via the radicalization of Sayid Qutb (considered the ideological father of radical Islam) up through 9/11. Wright spend about a year in the caves with a lot of these people, it's a very objective and centered view about what is real and what is not about the threat of radical Islam, what part of it is directed at America and what is not, and what thus far has caused young Musilims to be come radicalized. It's a fascinating read, I recommend.
