Ok, I went to a Good Charlotte show when they came to chicago recently, for one reason and one reason only... Mest. I was and still kinda am a fan of mest. But after i saw them play at the Good Charlotte concert, i was ready to shoot them. I mean i know its not their fault that all the GC fans are lil 10 year old gurls, but i was ready to shoot myself. Mest played first, and me and my friend tryed to push our way to the front, and all these parents were yelling at us and tellin us "that's not nyce" and "you can't cut, we were here first". I mean come fuckin on, its a concert, and no one was movin. When tony said does anyone know what a circle pit is, all the little girls screamed like they knew what it was, and than just jumped up and down like they were fuckin kangaroos, and all in place. I was ready to shoot myself!! I felt sorry for mest, havin to put up with that, especially in their hometown. ANd than in the lyrics of mest's songs, they say fuck n shit, and when GC comes on the stage, whoever the fuckin lead singer is apologizes for Tony's "Dirty language". ANd than all i heard all of GC's set was high pitch screams from girls, and a bunch of kangaroos jumpin up n down, up n down. N to top it off they played for like 2 hours, and i had to wait for my friends who loved GC, and yes they were gurls but 16 year old girls. man GC ruins the face of punk music, and music in general, they should go play with NSYNC or the backstreet Boys!

Mest sucks ass. The only half-way decent band on that tour was Something Corporate, and they're off of it now.

Props up to GC for apologizing for Mest, though. Swearing profusely is inane. And it makes you look like an idiot.

Mest are supporting gc over here in the uk aswell. But they are playing their owns shows aswell. Its mest' first time over here. They are playing in a 200 capacity club, should be good. Much better than seeing them in an arena or whatever gc play over there in the states.

mest is usually very good live......at least they were the 4 times ive seen them. and yes i do like mest.....the new songs sound too much like good charlotte mixed with simple plan.:( it makes me sad.

I dont care if theyre punk or not. Half of my favorite bands are nowhere near being "punk". Mest just writes the same songs over and over and over. theyre basically Good Charlotte Jr. and I dont care if you like what I like. Im not laying down the law saying what people should like or not. I expected The concert to suk, but i didnt expect Mest to suck, I like Mest, and still do, im just kind of disappointed in them, but than again, i think that they didn't have much fun either, cuz they didn't seem to into the concert when they were playing. BUT i still like mest, and no they don't suck, i mean i know its not really hardcore punk,but i still like em and im not gonna change my mynd cuz of who they play with in concert, cuz they are great in concert.

If a band doesnt play every single show with all the energy and passion they can muster, if they cant play their heart out, then they suck, and why would you want to pay to see a half assed performance? if they werent into the show, then they obviously have no respect for their fans.

If I say it once, then say it after that... using some common logic you might be able to figure out that the newest "worst thread ever" is indeed the worst thread ever.
