I steal all I can get
Keep it all in my filthy pockets
in there is my heart cut up in pieces
my lungs bleed on your picture
I'm so soluble in this solution
And as my greed dies my greed increases

Still have your gold in my pocket
along with a million dirty lockets
I'm walking off the plank to die at sea
Oh God what is wrong with me
Cursed to live but only feel
desires for what is really real
There's one bullet left inside this weapon
A mutiny against myself should end this mission

My best friends are millions of miles away
I'm lost in this great big blue endless day
I stuck my whispers in a bottle
then drank them back, sour and rotten.

Soon I'll drown and finally die
Thank God for this gift of life.

this is incredibly impressive, because there is rhyme scheme, and as a writer of poetry, and lyrics, i always tell my friends who want to write not to use rhyme scheme...this is one of the few times i have ever seen something good become of it , and it also had a message that I enjoyed thinking about. however, the title is somewhat confusing....give me some feeback on that, please.

the title comes from Pirates of the Carribean...a character, when describing Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp's character) says he fell off a ship or something, and somebody asks if that's the reason he is the way he is (which is kind of always drunk?) and the reply is that "reason's got nothing to do with it"

that's where the title comes from, and pretty much the whole theme of the song.
