Im looking for some good instrumental bands to listen to while I study for my finals. I'm getting a little tired of Explosions in the Sky, so I'm looking for something else. Any suggestions?

Start with Brian Eno. His music isn't totally instrumentally driven, but It's a great place to start nonetheless. He's quite good.

An Endless Sporadic is very good.

They'll probably be big soon because the song Impulse is on Guitar Hero III.

I agree with both of these posts...throw Battles and Red Sparowes in there too and if you're into a little bit heavier stuff (similar to Pelican), Russian Circles, Scale the Summit, and Don Caballero. I was in the same position as you last week (studying for finals), and EITS, Pelican, Don Caballero, The Album Leaf (very "chill"), Russian Circles, and God Is an Astronaut were all very good to listen to, yet not listen to, if you get what I mean.

There's also Caspian, Do Make Say Think, destroyalldreamers, and Tristeza, but I haven't listened to them very much compared to the others above.
