Blanchett Vs. Ryan

So pretty much everything i've been reading has been saying that Cate Blanchett is a shoo-in for best supporting actress this year. Yet Amy Ryan (Gone Baby Gone) has gotten the award from every group that has been announced so far, aside from the NY Online award. So who do you think will end up winning in the end? I've got to go with Ryan; aside from giving a better performance, I think the Academy will choose to award someone who hasn't won before.

Are we talking Cate Blanchett from I'm not There or did she have another movie this year?

I loved Gone Baby Gone, but I just don't see how Amy Ryan is award worthy in that. But hey, different strokes for different folks. I just keep thinking there has to be someone that gave a better performance than her this year in that category.

Also, have not seen I'm Not There yet. Damn you Alaska!

Amy Ryan was incredible in Gone Baby Gone, though I do love Cate Blanchett. I think Ryan deserves it.
