I just watched it...it wasn't that funny, but there were some great moments in it.

Definitely had some very sad moments, but the mixture of comedy in between is why I love Ricky Gervais so much. I can proudly say I teared up just a bit when Andy was giving his speech on Big Brother. I was so happy he came to his senses. Really satisfying end to the series.

it's funny because the majority of american comedy (not all, just the majority) merely makes me smile slightly, see; scrubs, family guy and south park.

whereas most english comedy i actually REALLY laugh at and it's nothing to do with not getting references in american comedy either.

although there are american shows which i think find the right balance of humour and storytelling just like the office or extras did/do in england, such as curb yr enthusiasm and arrested development.

anyone who likes the original office or extras should DEFINITELY watch peepshow, spaced and alan partridge.

I am so frustrated! Just watched Extras christmas special and sky plus did not record all of it. I saw up until Maggie went into the "Carphone Warehouse" looking for a job and that was it. Is anyone able to sort of fill me in on what happened from then on?? I can watch it again but I just don't want to have to wait to find out what happens! Thanks
