Looks like a pretty fun take on the superhero genre.
What do you think?

I'm gonna say no, but you never know. I think it will definitely top SM 2. POTC 2 will be tough. As ticket prices continue to increase though, its becoming easier and easier to topple records. All I know is that Will Smith + Superheroes + July 4th = A SHIT TON OF MONEY.

I can't remember where I read it/saw him say it, but I think he said when he first got into movies he and his agent analyzed what types of movies historically became the biggest hits because he was determined that he wanted to be as big a star as he could.
Also I think I recently he said something along the lines of how he realized that his movies weren't going to change the world. That they were meant simply to entertain.
Fair or not, my impression is that he judges the success of his movies based solely on how much money they make. After doing The Legend of Bagger Vance and Ali, which both failed at the box office, he hasn't taken any chances. Even The Pursuit of Happyness wasn't risky. It was an uplifting family story released at Christmas time. Still though, it'd be nice to see him step out of the action hero character more often, even if its only to do stuff like TPOH.

He was playing it safe with MIB II and the movie was a disappointment. After that point he decided to take some chances, and on of those was Ali. I could definitely see him returning to drama in a few years.

What i got out of the trailer is that he is kinda arrogant and doesnt really care what other people think as long as he gets the stuff done. He doesnt mind destroying signs and roadways and cars as long as he stops the person and such. I think the whole public image thing is just a spawn off of that and it seems the movie has a premise of him changing his attitude and also adjusting his public image in the process.

Good point with the X-Files. They could market it as a horror film and that could attract a whoollleee new audience though. hat would bring in alot of money. Speed Racer though could be reallllyyyyyy hot with a younger audience. Don't know if it would be enough to push it up to the top ten. Also, The Love Guru isnt on there. That wouldn't work because it's X-Files 2. Most people would be like "Ugh, a sequel? I need to see the first? Wait, there's a tv show? I don't get it. Aliens?" Speed Racer won't appeal to a lot of people, except maybe the people like bright lights and seizures, or those who realize it's "by the same guys who did The Matrix!" or those who know the cartoon, but most who know the cartoon look at it and say "Are you fucking kidding me?" And The Love Guru is not going to make a lot of money at all. But I'll let your poor judgment call on that go due to the fact you are 15.

It's name is not X-Files 2. It is X-Files: I Want To Believe. And I do see your point with Speed Racer again. But it is kids who are seeing it, not adults. Kids like cartoons. And seriously, Mike Myers in anything makes alot of money.

That's all I have to say about Mike Myers films.
And, in regards to X-Files: honestly, if you don't know it's a sequel, you're a fucking retard.
And, in regards to Speed Racer: the film is not a cartoon, and the cartoon is not showed on Saturday mornings anymore.
