im assuming by your username that you like emo..
so if i were to say "all emo sucks. period. no exceptions," im sure you would be able to name a few bands, or play a few, that i would end up liking. I am fairly confident that the same can be said for you. its nearly impossible to think that you could dislile every ska song ever created...ever. i mean, that's a lot of stuff to hate. cheer up, emokid.
anyway, what im really saying is you shouldnt make such a blanket statement without being absolutely sure that it applies to everything you make it out to be. im not saying you should like ska in any way, but i dont think you should dismiss every form of it right off the bat without giving it a chance.

seriously though. ska is really, dreadfully terrible... i mean come on all the songs are crap... plus, the overall ska lifestyle (the "ska kids") is just a waste... i mean you walk around with like checkered pants on and less than jake shirts on with your green hair and whatnot becuase you "don't care what other people think" when in reality you do because you're doing it because you and your friends think it's trendy... nobody is that independent... ****... and you talk about how people aren't "punk" like avril lavigne how she's not really a punk... and good charlotte how they're not punk just sellouts or whatever... who cares... anyways i'd much rather listen to the dixie chicks whine about george bush for hours on end than listen to a worthless less than jake song... chances are you hate me now, don't worry i hate you all too

I like ska when it's from a band that knows what it's doing. There are some bands that just use the same horn part over and over. But RX Bandits, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, etc. are good.

and that's different from every other type of music/kid how??
"i mean come on all the songs are crap" -- ever heard of a comma? plus, before i forget, good argument. i mean, i used to like ska, but that totally swayed my opinion.
thank you for saving me from such a dreadful lifestyle.
oh yeah, by the way, just because you happen to like ska doesn't mean you dress and act like a "ska kid." way to generalize.

ska fucking rules. it sucks that some people don't like it,maybe they just heard a song that sucked and assumed all ska was like that ONE song. eh,back to main : ska fucking rules.

first off, i thought it was a rule if you were emo, to never say you were, but anyways, to just say ska sucks is ignorant, and sad. only an emo kid would generalize a type of music and throw it away. im in a ska band i love it, i also love emo, i dont see how you can be so narrowminded. now granted there are very very very horrible ska bands out there, but to throw away a whole genre is very sad. but expected from a guy with the username em0

I'd just like to say that I'm a huge ska fan. I love streetlight manifesto and reel big fish (my two favorites). But don't generalize me in any category. I wear just as many clothes from anchorblue as i wear clothes from hot topic. I have two pairs of skinny jeans but I ususally look like some sort of hippie. I'm in a gigging JAZZ FUSION band and i own every AC/DC band t-shirt out there. I'm a ballroom dancer so i love salsa and cha-cha music and i listen to Reggaeton cuz i'm cuban and i enjoy it. Yet my favorite music is Ska. I'm pretty sure i don't fit in to you "chekered pants" category.
I have a friend whos entire wardrobe is checkered skinny jeans and black shirts, theyTRULY dont care what anybody thinks, they just likes those clothes, and they don't like ska! they are a total classic rock junkie. so i think before you spek, you need to take a look around first, and maybe start actually listening to the music ur gonna diss.
