I don't often post here but I need to vent.

Life is shitting on me a lot right now.

My boyfriend broke up with me Saturday and it's been really rough. We were together a little over a year, and it was all just really intense. Almost too good to be true, fairy tale like. First love. Blah, blah, blah. Just really hard to let go of.

I didn't get into the music program at my school because I completely blew my audition.

And last night my car got broken into, the window smashed in and my radio was stolen.

Why does all the bad shit come at once?

ouch, that really sucks, and I have sympathy for you. Life has it's highs and lows, but you have to accept it, and I just want to lie and say it'll get better. But then again it just might.

Perspective my friend, perspective. Does all this stuff happening all at once suck? Of course. First loves almost always don't pan out (especially at 18). Will you love again? Most definitely. Will you have another chance to audition for the music program? Most definitely (if you're in college, it could be next quarter/semester). Should you want to kick the shit out of whoever vandalized your car? Most definitely. Ummm...hopefully, you have a job. Anyways, the point I'm trying to get across is that all of these troubles are very short term. Things will look up before long. Keep ya head up.

I am terribly sorry, sounds like an uber shitty time in your life but it will get better. The same things always happen to me - a handful of shitty events all come pouring down at once. But the good thing is (and this is an assumption), you have a house and a family and friends and food to eat and clothes to wear which is more than half of the world has at this moment, so you are still doing pretty good. And soon, things will get better. Practice good Karma, it works.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement though. It's weird how something so little like a post on a message board can cheer you up, even just a little bit.

And I think I may be inspired to post more often on AP instead of just lurking. I've been here two years and have a little more than 100 posts haha.
