I don't see a travel thread (or maybe I'm blind because it seems like a big topic)....
Just wondering where you've traveled, if you are planning to travel in the near future. I spent a decent amount of time in europe this year (belgium, france, uk, spain, portugal, italy, greece, romania, bulgaria, hungary, austria, germany... you get the picture..) and it was pretty awesome. I traveled with a very very small budget, and not much stuff in my backpack.
I'm currently planning a trip to Asia in 2008, not exactly sure where, but in that area of the globe. Anybody done this before? Any tips?
also I have been reading my travel journal that I made in Europe and recently started a discussion forum to give advice to travelers in the future. Backpacker Resource (http://www.bpresource.com)
I've never been to Europe. I hope to visit at some point in the future. I doubt someone outside of the U.S. would care what U.S. states I've been to (with maybe the exception of Hawaii, which I've been to), so I'll just recount where I've traveled outside of the U.S. I've been to Canada, of course, Mexico, and the Bahamas. That's it. As of right now, I don't have any desire to visit any other countries except those in (most likely mostly Western) Europe and possibly Austrailia.

Road trips are the best form of budget travel.. there's nothing like a bunch of friends packed in a car listening to music and stopping at In 'N Out. Does life get better then that?

in europe it's fairly easy to find the most different things at a few hours flight, that I enjoy..
well.. I'v been to the US , actually spent a year there, and the Dominican Republic, but I'd really love to see Canada, and more of the US as it's benn only a bunch of places in California, Seattle and New York, plus I'd love to go back to each of these places...
In EU it's fairly easy to move around... so I'v touched a bounch of different ones:Greece one of my favs places, only after London.. ;-) then France\Spain\Portugal\Germany\Switz erland (does it count, I live 30 mins from the border?\Cipro\Malta\Austria...Egypt and Turkey then. not in EU..
but I've missed out on some parts of Italy, never been to the south and sicily, well I have been to Rome and in Sardinia, but I'v missed a bunch of beautiful places we have here... and have never traveled with a backpack or such... and never camped...
My wish list is: Canada, Australia, and Japan.
I love traveling, kudos for guesswhodied for this thread :-)
but I hate cause your making me crave for punkcakes, which I have no way to eat... and thus miss the us.. and in'nout!!! and great america, and dysneland!

Canada is great, I hate to be bias about it... but... it's awesome haha. We take our luxuries for granted. London is my favorite city, closely followed by Vancouver in Canada.
The best places in Canada are Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal by far. Quebec City is also... I've never been to the maritimes but I hear it's nice.
The rockies are pretty awesome, me and buddies usually camp out there and it is always a good time. The ski hills are crazy.

Took an East Coast road trip 2 summers ago (back to where I grew up, and some other places); this past summer I studied in Luxembourg and traveled to Rotterdam, Rome, London, Amsterdam, and Berlin. I loved it but road tripping is still my favorite. I'm planning on doing one every summer from now on; I've got a lot of ground to cover, since I've never been west of Chicago, south of Myrtle Beach (except for Disney World, and we flew there), or north at all except for a short jaunt to Toronto.
i've never been anywhere except Wisconsin :-/

Universities offer people the best way to travel around the world. I'm going to Jordan and Egypt for a model UN trip and its only costing me $2000 for two weeks.

I'm considering a semester at sea program, but I honestly don't want to leave my school for an entire semester. The semester at sea would include stopping all over the world while taking classes on a big ship, so I think it would be great. I've never traveled much, and I feel like it's a once in a lifetime opportunity, but I'm so torn!
I now it's a fairly large program, so has anyone on here done it before?

I went to Austria and Switzerland back in high school for a field trip.
Best fucking field trip ever. I want to go back/travel more around Europe. It was so gorgeous.
My brain exploded.
