I just got back from the blink show tonight and i thought i'd share my thoughts. first, i got to watch them during sound check, so i heard them practice through their new songs, and couldn't wait to here them played in front of a full house. i also got to meet them at the meet and greet and they were super nice, much nicer than i expect, and much nicer than the last time i met them. the kenison (spelling?) were decent, but the crowd didn't take to them really, and the lead singer seemed pissed about it. Bubba Sparxx seemed very out of place, but there were a number of people that seemed pleased to see him. i thought his set was lame, but he had a ton of nice things to say about blink and even the crowd, so i respect that. blink came out playing "what's my age again", they rocked hard, the new songs sounded great, my personal favoite was "Easy Target", it had a Ramones vibe to it, although it was hard to make out the lyrics. The jokes were funny and travis whaled the drums, all in all a great show. only problem i had....no encore, they closed with dammit and left the stage, a little disapointing but what more do you want for $1?

set list (as best i can remember, in no particular order):

What's my age again
feeling this
all the small things
dumpweed
adam's song
first date
reckless abandon
violence
go
obvious
easy target
down/the fallen
dammit
rock show

i think thats it...

i was at the avalon show too and it being the first time ive see blink live i wasnt really dissapointed. i had hoped they would play some more stuff from dude ranch like josie and pathetic and degenerate. also i really wanted to hear aliens exist carousel and family reunion. the new songs were awsome though and it was definately worth the $14 i paid. the opening bands both kinda sucked, especially that bubba sparx guy but over all the show was kick ass and being 3 rows away from mark definately wasnt a bad thing either.

i saw blink at irving plaza and my friend got tickets and she got them for a dollar. and i actually never paid for my ticket but anyway. i was also dissappointed with blink's set list. it was the 5th time ive seen them and ive only seen them play m+m's twice! and theyve played carousel at every concert also. i was hoping for alot of older songs. i was hoping for m+m's, pathetic, untitled, apple shampoo! that would of been awesome! ol well i could go with the songs i would of loved to hear.
