The Story:
This girl who I knew of but didn't know a whole bunch ended up in like four of my classes this year. We somehow always ended up sitting next to each other so we got to be really good friends. She asked for my number and stuff one day and we texted and talked a lot. Well my friends and I decided to ask her to hangout with us whenever we hungout and she was always like sure. Well one day I decided to ask her out on a date and she was like ok. I figured she liked me and everything so I finally got the nerve to ask her to be my gf on wendsday (12/19). She said she wasn't ready so I was like oh ok. Well since it's xmas and everything I have been really busy with work and stuff so I didn't really get to talk to her. So on that following saturday (12/22) I decided I would put some hershey kisses on her doorstep and a note that said "Hope your day was good! =)" to show that I was thinking about her and stuff. Well she was like that was cute but what was that about? So I told her that and she was like oh I thought it was because things arent the same even though you said they would be. I was like wtf? So I asked her what she meant by that and the next morning she said my phone died just forget about what I said. But I persisted and was like no tell me what you meant. She said well I just feel like we are growing apart already. I was like what?! So this girl leads me on to think that she likes me, and then she turns me down in a way where the doesn't break my heart, and then she says that? It's kind of confusing. If anyone can tell me whats running thru her mind and what I should do...that would be greatly appreciated.

I know that I, and a lot of my female friends, can be guilty of acting like we had no idea a guy was into us, even though we knew he was, just so we don't look like we liked him first. There is something vulnerable about accepting nice gestures (like the candy) and just going with the flow. It takes life and hard lessons to teach you to just accept when these sorts of things happen and be happy. She's probably insecure and either wants more reassurance from you or she could just be a cold-hearted bitch. Those girls exist, too.
