Question About Ear spacers....

Hey everyone, I have a question about ear spacers... I guess i did mine the stupid way...but then again ive always been an impatient dumbass...

I have normal earings for years and then i decided i wanted spacers so i put in 14's i skiped 12s and went right to 10s.... then because im dumb i went right from 10s to 2s and now my ears have ripped more so now then when i first put them in... i dont want to take them out but i was wondering if its okay to keep them in if they will heal or not.. everytime they get pulled on they start bleeding but i just put them in yesterday so i was just going to keep cleanign around the holes a couple times a day and then try to take them out to look at them in like 4 days or something...if anyone knows anything about what i should do or not do please let me know as soon as possible just so that i know that everythings going okay..

Yeah, you definitely suffered a major blowout! If they are red and inflamed you should take them out because that means they are infected. Just put the 10g or even an 8g. But they should be given time to heal. I have gauged all different ways and trust me slow is the way to go. Especially if you are going anything larger than a 0g. What type of jewelry do you have in them? Because acrylic is not good for your ears at all.

Taking them out is not a good idea. Just downsize and let the ear heal up. You are going to have a lot of scarring and to probably completely close it up you will need to go to a plastic surgeon at some point because you tore it. Be sure to keep it clean, but do not use bactine or any creams. Sea salt soaks will be the best and cleaning up dried blood and leakage.

I called a tattoo shop and the guy told me i was fine and that the healing would take a long time but scarring would not be bad. he told me to clean the dried blood and in 5-7 days take them out clean the jewlery and then in a hot shower put them back in. he said that alot of people have done what i have done and that infection was almost normal when it comes to ripping he said that if i have any major problems to go in and see him and let him check them out he said other then that im fine. which kind of proves that hardly any of you know anything that your talking about but thank you all anyways...just for the record he also said that i should NOT take them out untill they are healed so i do not trap the infection inside. and they hole is way too big to put a 10 in right now it would just fall right through:S....

i think you are misunderstanding me i ripped a little line in the inside of the hole not my whole fucking ear... im not sure if its infected and these arent my first piercings and i think what he said makes perfect sense. and he does care or he wouldnt have told to come in if i had problems he also told me that he went from 14s to 00s in one day just gradually pushing them through and his ripped slightly too and he said his are perfectly normal...do you even have spacers?

10's to 2's you are probably going to get an infection, i am at a double zero. and stretching takes time, you can not jump into it head first for your own safety, even if you did rip a small hole now it is like a fresh piercing, and should be left to heal, even the smallest slit could let in bacteria. no one can go from a 14 to 00 in one day and if he did a--he is lying or b-- he ripped the fuck out of his ears, i work at a tattoo shop, trust me.

hah, yeah my boyfriend is in the process of stretching his as we speak, they should heal up enough to where you can keep them, ears are very fixable even so.. there is a piercing spray i recoment you get called h2ocean its pretty much a sea salt spray, but you should slow down for a bit and let them heal up before you try and go any higher is there still like "body cheese" coming from them or have they stopped doing that part yet?

I have stretched ears, and have worked with my piercer for 7 years now to get to where I am. If you are going to get all defensive then that is wicked lame. People like you just give people who take piercings seriously a bad rep. Stretching is a gradual process unless you get dermal punches. Why rush it and get fucked up ears. If all you care about is having a large gauged hole get them punched and stop fucking up your ears.

Buy sea salt at the grocery store and make your own solution. It will be cheaper than anything you buy. Just make sure it is pure sea salt with no anti caking stuff in it.

Also www.tribalectic.com has good info and has a piercing board.

saline solution will work, but i would not reccomend it, you can go to kroger and get a 50 cent thing of sea salt and dilute it with hot water, and also make sure your using the dial orange antibacterial hand soap. thats a MUST. make sure whatever you mix the sea salt with is distilled water one teaspoon for 4 oz thats a strong dose but not strong enough to "burn" your skin. try and stop touching them though, the hotness means it is most likely and infection but the sea salt should help to clear that out

Well you see...my ears are fine all swelling is gone and they dont bleed anymore theyre starting to heal quite nicely actually thatnks to sea salt and warm water. i appreciate everything i guess i was just a little worried but now i realize i was freaking out about really normal things that happen when you have big open holes in your ears...but like i said thank you all (with the exception of some).

But nothing that happened with you was normal. You aren't supposed to jump that many gauges and there should never be blood and tearing. Even if it does heal up you are going to have lobes that are distorted.

i went from 12s to 8s to 4s and i've had no problems. but my advice to u it to probably to down a size to like a 4 and wait to see if they heal. (try salt water) of not it's probably better off to take then out completely and let them heal and then try again.

They will heal, Thats what i did, Just after like maybe a month or so Take them out and clean them, Then put them back in and you will be fine, My current size is a 0 BTW
