ok i don't know if you've read his shit, but i stumbled upon his journal while looking through diaryland.com's stuff. i was looking for kids that go to my school, and turns out he does, and i was floored to find such lyrics/poetry. i met the kid, and he's really down to earth, which was kind of weird considering how he writes. i check his stuff every day now. anyway, almost every entry is poetry/lyrics. check him out.

I don't understand what's so amazing about this kid. He writes poetry like it's punk music, like most of the people here do. It's not that impressive, punk lyrics don't have much depth. They just read in such a way as to give that illusion, as they seemingly randomly meander between metaphor and simile and wincingly sharp language.

i guess i just thought that in regards to the context we are in, which is absolutepunk.net, he wrote very good lyrics/poetry. clearly he's not a true poet. i'm sure he's read more morrissey than frost. i connected with what he was trying to convey. if that makes me superficial and shallow, then so be it.

by the way, are you a professor or something? because i don't understand how you can be so definitive on what poetry should be, as you were in a previous post.

Rennard, I am redroses at KP and don't really get alogn with you over there. But I completely agree with you.

And I see that you are from Vegas, I just moved from Vegas in August.
