If you mean female fronted bands, then Eisley, Eisley, Eisley. If you are only interested in bands with only chicks in them, then I can't help you, because most of them are shit.
Only bands like this I know of are Riot grrrl bands.

Rocking Horse Winner is the only female fronted band on my Ipod. Although they broke up a few years back.
Castingout and 1997 have female/male singers....both are pretty good.

I don't think I have any all-female bands that I really love...female-fronted, though, check out The Epoxies from Oregon. They're wicked good.

The Pipettes are pretty good, if you don't mind the 1970s girl-group sound.
The Pipettes are pretty good, if you don't mind the 1970s girl-group sound.
I think you mean more 50's-60's inspired. The Pipettes don't do disco.
Agreed, The Pipettes and Sleater-Kinney (RIP)

That's a good one.
I agree with Eisley. Regina Spektor. Imogen Heap. Blonde Redhead. Metric. Michelle Branch. Pretty Girls Make Graves. Tegan and Sara.

Garbage. Rainer Maria I'd definitely second. Azure Ray, Metric, Cansei De Ser Sexy, Freezepop, Stars. And, all as kind of communal bands, Broken Social Scene, Tilly and the Wall, and Danger and the Steel Cut Oats.

Well I'll bring this back to PUNK ROCK which is what this site is all about so here we go...
L7 - Civet - X Ray Specs [old 77 UK band] - 7 Year Bitch - Alabaster - Amazombies - Dollyrots - Fabulous Disater [with the defunct excellent band Tilt ex singer Cinder Block] - Auntie Christ - The Avengers - Betty Blowtorch - Blitz Babiez - Devotchkas - Die Cheerleader Die [which I discovered yesterday] - F-Minus - Fluffy [which I totally dig] and the one that made me freakout is The Nerves, a band from Germany with a Mohawk chick singing and they are just amazing: http://www.youtube.com/user/nervespunk
OH HOW COULD I FORGET TO MENTION NAKED AGRESSION??? They are just damn too good, especially THIS song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0s8GDiA_0OU
More coming next time, LOVE girls bands so I know and have a damn bunch of them...

Erica Freas from RVIVR is my absolute favorite favorite female singer. She doesn't try to fall into feminine stereotypes (like the millions of female singers just trying to rip off Paramore), she just fucking rocks out. I'll admit I'm biased because I'm a sucker for mixed-gender vocals, but this band is seriously one of the best out there right now.
