did anyone see the video for " Sic Transit Gloria....Glory Fades" from Brand New?....i watched it before on mtv.com...and its fucking weird....jesse is like controlling everyone in the bar that he ran into...very strange i think....but original to my knowledge...i love the video part during the chorus....its really cool....i love brand new....

yea this is one of the best videos i have ever seen. i love it so much and there last video quiet things that noone ever knows was amazing too, but the ending of this video is so cool.

I think both of the singles are equally good, but the video for quiet things was better in my opinion. I'm thinking of the "I lie for you" part which mackes the difference in my opinion.

I think the video is fantastic. I thought The Quiet Things video wasn't very good, kind of predictable and what not... but this one is pretty clever...I like it a lot.

i love the vibe its got, i think it is totally in tune with the lyrics, cus at the start you can imagine him having run away from the girl he supposed to *cough cough*, and then like most of us, finds solice in a bar. and when he is in there, everyone is copying everything he does. just as you can imagine so many people doing when it comes to *cough cough* lol

Heres my take on this video:

Everyone lives their day to day life, without outside interference. Sometimes people run from that, for the company of another, a relationship, because through interaction happines (or destruction) may be found. This explains Jesse running in the beginning of the video. Through entering the bar, he is entering a relationship, doomed to lose, hence the sheep on the door. The old adage, he who gives less in a relationship initially, will eventually crave more. When Jesse first enters the bar, he can control everyone, much to his surprise. As time passes, the mind forgets that one can have a strong effect on another, to control anothers emotions. As we get carried away, our emotions get caught up in the control of others, and we begin to crave the control of others, we get emotionally evolved none the less. Once this begins to happen, we in fact are controlled, thus the ending in which Jessie is being controlled himself. The bar filled with people being controlled by the new person entering represents past relationships. In the extended ending with Jesse killing himself, that represents the out, the desperate ending to a relationship. Implosion, and break up.

i think that the video shows that people are like sheeps. Jesse can at the beginning and he's having a blast.. but as all people hetend to get greedy and another one takes control. and Jesse becomes the sheep. no really.. this video makes me paranoid.

What a neat video, enjoyable the whole way through.

everyone is ragging on the "Quiet things..." vid, I didn't think was that bad though. Brand New hadn't really broken into the main stream with their first albulm, so expecting an award winning video is a little far fetched. It showcased the band well I thought. It was the video that me go out and buy the cd.

The new Brand New album is pretty good. some songs can get annoying and there's a lot of acoustic going on. but they sure can write lyrics.
