Thrice is pretty cool. I find the guys in the band really really really boring but most of their music kicks ass. My fav song by them is "send me an angel"

I know its a cover, all the covers they do are cool. E Rigby is one of my all time fav songs, when I saw that they did I cover I was hoping they would not ruin it, but they did a well job with it

Thrice is an awesome band ... the Illusion of Safety is definetly one of my favourite albums ever.

Honestly to me every one of their songs sounds the same, and I don't get all the hype over their guitarist (Tepei?). They're allright, but I don't see anything special in them

i always find it interesting when someone says that :) cuz for me they are soooo diverse...but then again i love these guys beyond anything else music can offer me.

Teppei is amazing at the guitar. not the best of course, but wow.

chadwick, yeah ive heard ppl say theyre "boring">..but actually they just seem "boring" because out of 90% of all bands out there, they are the most normal and down to earth and calm. theyre a bunch of awesome guys. They are humble beyond any word i can express.

I agree with the fact that they are good people, and they donate to charities. So I usually by there cd's, and Tepei does make some cool lead parts, but it reminds me of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Some of there stuff is good, and some of it ain't. They aren't what half the people around here seem to think they are, that's for damn sure.

i think all of the songs on identity crisis were pretty different from each other but their 2 latest releases have been pretty monotonous...they're good, but the same thing over and over again gets old

thirce's music is passionate....however their lyrical energy is lacking. Perhaps the most overrated band out there.

Either way, Thrice rules, so get over it.

In my opinion, they are driven by music. Everything to do with music ... instruments, timing, lyrics, pace, dynamics, flow, vocals, emotions ... everything ... their music is sheerly amazing, nothing else can really explain it.

Thrice owns. Damn right.

I like Thrice a lot. I really really love their song "See you in the shallows". Its great IMO :)

I'd have to agree with their monotonous lyrics in their earlier cds (and as a Thrice fan, I'm punishing myself for saying so) but "Artist" got a lot better. I would never say that they are overrated; they have their flaws, but they are still a fantastic band.

thats the saddest opinion i have ever heard. i know uve never liked thrice (thinking bakc on old topics ages ago) but damn that just made me unhappy :(....

lyrics dont make the band. the band makes the band. i didnt say he couldnt write lyrics i just said they dont know how to put it all together. and i think the final result is quite pathetic.

Your musical tastes are obviously very far off from everybody else's, considering almost everybody who has posted here likes Thrice. Thrice are unbelievable.

Well, obviously they know how to produce music with the popularity they've been getting from the scene and even now, outside of punk rock. And no matter how much you hate a band, you never wish death upon them, obviously you have inner problems if you want a band to die when A. you've probably never met them, and B. you don't know a thing about them, other than some stuff you picked up off the internet.

but then like 2 weeks ago i stuck it back in and was like ahhh shit this is pretty damn good and now i am listening to it constantly, along with thursday and brand new :D

this may sound like im jumping on the bandwagon but no actually i havent liked thrice for so long. way be for artist. i wish i could tell you the cds but i dont know them i think it had something to do with illusions. that was the cd i realized i didnt like them. i gave them a few chances then and then a few more when artist came out but i just cant get into them.

Exactly, my friend. Exactly. Thrice has perhaps the best music in this scene, but I am not a fan of the monotonous drone that is the singing.
