Rec: Albums similar to Danse Macabre

Hey there! Does anyone know any albums that sound like Danse Macabre by The Faint? That CD is so bad ass. I know it's "old" but it still sounds fresh in my opinion. So anyone? Thanks

well, initially i will point out the obvious - there is a danse macabre remix album and you should definitely have blank-wave arcade and wet from birth....

after that.... i would check out LCD Soundsystem, !!!, and the Rapture...

(however, none of those are as good as the Faint, imo)...

Yeah I have all of The Faint albums, even the remixes, I burnt all of the Rapture CD's from a friend, I still need to listen to them. As for !!! and LCD Soundsystem, I sampled them and thought they were ok and it didnt go anywhere from there, maybe I should look into them more. Thanks for replying.

newer bands that sound kinda danc-y and techno kinda like the faint are, the secret handshake, playradioplay, um def check out girltalk too

try broken spindles...i've only heard bits of their self titled & fulfilled/complete cds but they're not bad. not as good as the faint though :( try looking for some 80s electro? like soft cell etc

and i believe davey havoc from AFI has this pretty sweet band called blaqk audio

i mean.. the faint is pretty hard to mimic... but these guys have the same trancey vibe

you might like these if you're into the faint alot....i mean honstly nothing i know sounds super similar to the faint, they are def one of a kind....but if you're into them, you could get into these....
