yeah, early 90s kicks ass, man! stp reunion would be swell, but soundgarden would never reunite. they ended brilliantly so why waste it? :P

Hey man, I hate Fall Out Boy and whatever else you're considering "new millenium shit" as much as the next guy/gal/thing, but seriously, authentic and pure? As soon as record labels are involved, even if the artists themselves are pure, one can't claim purity for a scene of any sort. Hell, purity is a problem in anti-label, DIY scenes.

That said, Nirvana is pretty good and I like a lot of bands that are kinda tangentially associated with the genre (ie: Cobain said a ton of times he was ripping off Pixies, and I think grunge fans are usually into Dinosaur Jr., etc.)
