I just bought DMC4 for PS3 and that's a definate suggestion for either console. I agree with a lot of people here, Bioshock for offline experience, and COD4 rather then Halo for the online experience. I got bored rather quickly with Halo because it doesn't offer much more. Oblivion is good, but the expansion packs seem necessary after a while... things get boring after the 4th or so guild you finish.

I just thought it wasn't that great. It was fun to be sure, but you don't get the total immersion you experience with Rainbow 6 or CoD4. IMO.

Yeah the second one is coming out soon, the online community for the first is still highly active. But I suppose it's a matter of preference.

I'd definitely go with CoD4 over Halo.
