I feel like I need to watch it againyou're going to need to watch it a few more times. if you have the special edition dvd, there is an easter egg to play the movie in chronological order, but it makes the movie boring.

i loved Memento though.

Wait, are you serious.

The film starts from the end and ends with the beginning.

This is one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life. It's just so good. You catch something new every time you watch it.

What you just saw is easily one of the most inventive cinematic triumphs ever made.

I used to own this movie, but my friend borrowed it and his car got stolen with the film in the trunk.

That was all I cared about when he told me about the car.

Oh man, that's hard. Both movies are so damn good. The endings shocked me in both so much.

Did he buy you another copy of the film? I assume not since you said "used".

The Prestige is easily my favorite Nolan film. He hasn't made a bad film but that's my favorite.

drudo182
02/09/08, 08:33 PM
What's the deal with people stealing this movie?

Nope. What a dick, huh? Needless to say, we aren't friends any longer.

Not for that occurrance though, hahaha

I should produce my own version of Memento with me trying to recover my copy of the film with tats all over my body.

Yeah, that's low. My friend lost my copy of Prisoner of Azkaban and he kindly went out and got me another copy and find the original one like an hour later. What a great guy.

And yeah, you should do that movie. Get working on it.

I'm majoring in film and video at the school I go to - maybe for one of my student films I'll parody that haha

You should search for Derrick Comedy on YouTube and watch their skit related to this movie.

Yeah, that would be hilarious.

I'm majoring in digital film production at my school as well. Rock on.

I'll look that up as well. I think I might be friended with on there too. Sounds familiar.

!!!

Just kidding, but come on, Bale, Jackmen, Caine... All together in a Christopher Nolan film. Plus magic tricks and a twisted timeline. Can't beat it.

Don't forget Scarlett Johansson and her mad cleavage too.

how can you hate this movie?

WakingTheMisery

Easy. I watched it, pieced it together, and decided it would be a better, although shorter, movie if it just played straight through. I feel like it over does things.

It would be boring as fuck if it ran chronologically. Nothing much really happens.

WakingTheMisery

The story doesn't have any resolve either from what I recall. Correct?

The resolve comes from the big reveal at the end (beginning chronologically) that he intentionally forgot (again) in order to continue the search which was the only thing that gave his life meaning.

I liked the non-linear plot and it correlates well with his amnesia. Makes you feel like you got smashed in the head too.

bahaha, im right there with ya. the first time i popped it in, i was just like, jesus i just wanna watch the movie and i can't figure out what to select. i felt like a dope.

i really haven't seen much of guy pearce's stuff, he's kinda got an interesting filmography. death defying acts looks pretty tight though.

This is the only movie I've seen with Pearce in it and I've seen all of Nolan's films except for Insomnia and Following and I love them all.
