Just read that. I am just glad Raimi is getting back to what he started in the first place.

Can't wait.

If I based whether or not to see films by how good their titles were I wouldn't touch this.

Sounds very interesting, Ellen Page is an amazing actress. I'm interested to see how she does in a horror filmd. Also excited to see Raimi back w/ horror.

The more I watch Juno the more I think she overacted. A good actress nonetheless. I do question whether Raimi still has the chops to direct a horror film on par with the Evil Deads as that is what everyone will be expecting.

Go figure.
Go figure that I don't like a terrible title?

When films are being released with titles like "Midnight Meat Train", "Drag Me to Hell" just doesn't cut it. Raimi needs to step his game up.

Keeping my expectations low here and really doubt that he has it in him. He hasn't done anything worthwhile as a director or producer since he's gotten money, aside from A Simple Plan.

Well Juno isnt the only film, its just her most popular one. I think she was even better in Hard Candy.

Much better. I'm just saying most people use Juno as evidence that she's a great actor and I feel she overdid it in that role.

I hate how everyone hates on the Spiderman movies now.

I don't think Ellen Page is attractive, at all. I also don't think she's a good actress.

I can definatly say that the only one that i hate on, and i dont really hate on it, i just dis-like it, is the third one. It really was just such a downfall from the first two and yeah, its just left the Spiderman franchise in a bad way. If they do the fourth one right, then i think it will be redeemed.

Like i said, i enjoyed the first two films very much so, but the third one just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Ellen Page has dropped out, apparently because she didn't like the script. Her replacement is Alison Lohman, and since I have no idea who she is, I'm starting to lose interest in this movie.

Allison Lohman is a great actress, I have no problem with that (see Matchstick Men for proof).

Raimi is also producing a remake of The Evil Dead... possibly without Ash. wtf?

Oh man, if you're expecting on the level of Evil Dead or Army of Darkness...well, that just isn't possible. They are too awesome.

I have to admit, I kind of think Drag Me to Hell is a pretty sweet name. It's got a lot of attitude.
Keeping my expectations low here and really doubt that he has it in him. He hasn't done anything worthwhile as a director or producer since he's gotten money, aside from A Simple Plan.
I personally quite like Spider-Man 1 and 2, but I agree, A Simple Plan is his real standout over the recent part of his career. I really, really love that movie. It's very sad.

I agree entirely, this isn't a huge downgrade. Lohman can act up a storm. She was also great in White Oleander.

That is blasphemy, and Raimi should be ashamed of himself. Evil Dead without Ash (or someone besides Bruce Campbell playing Ash, god forbid) is not even the same movie, and can in no way be close to the original awesomeness. Bruce/Ash MADE those movies.

I remember watching Juno like a week or two after watching Matchstick Men and I immediately thought Ellen Page looked just like the girl from MM. She did a really good job too, interested to see how she will do in a horror film.

I just got even more excited for this movie. In the second picture, she looks more like how she did in Matchstick Men, which I'm completely cool with. The first picture, however, is very nice.

I can't wait for this! Raimi's one of my fav directors, and its about time he took a break from the spider-man movies. He's the master of capturing intensity with all his crazy shaky cam styles which I loved seeing incoporated in spider-man2 in that evil dead-style scene, but I'm thrilled that he's finally doing another horror flick.

oh and forget Page, she's cute but Alison Lohman's friggin hott, Big Fish!! CMON PPL!!

I think any horror film that Raimi does after doing the Spiderman movies is of course not going to be on par with the Evil Dead trilogy. That goes the same for all the talk of Evil Dead remake or possible ED4, of course it's not going to be the same. You're talking about a movie (Evil Dead) that had a $750,000 budget, or EV2 with a $3.5 Million budget to Spiderman 3 which had a $250 Million budget. It doesn't matter who he gets for the film, it's still going to be fields different. It could be good, but I didn't like Spiderman 2 and 3 at all, so I am not getting my hopes up.

Yeah, the reviews on that site are usually pretty close to my opinions on movies, but I just can't excited for this movie. I've been let down so much by recent horror movies that I find it hard to get excited about any of them. Hopefully this one will be awesome, though.
