So, I just rigged up an old laptop, connecting it to my television for gatherings at my house via S-Video output. Works perfect.

Much like a well-stocked bar, I'm going to make this laptop filled with the essentials. I have two controllers hooked up, and emulators for NES, SNES, and Genesis. I need to make sure I have all the games that people will want to play, and also great games that are party/gathering friendly (sorry, Chrono Trigger is one of my favorite games, but it doesn't work here, for example).

Recommend games to me.. it's already stocked with some of the classics (Mario 3, Bubble Bobble, TMNT 3, Mario Kart, etc) but it's always good to have your opinion. This is much better than having a shitty old NES that barely works.. and with the beauty of emulation, I have unlimited access to games.

Also on the laptop is full series of The Office, Flight of the Concords, Weeds, and some other newer shows (older shows are likely already on my shelf in DVD form).

Recommend the classic games I shouldn't be without on this laptop.

You should just get MAME.

But you need some Streets of Rage/Double Dragon/Final Fight style side scolling beat em up action going on.

Contra.

And look into Project 64. It's an N64 emulator.

http://www.emu-russia.km.ru/default.php?a=roms&sid=snes&from=B, these are just a bunch of ROMS. I would recommend, U.N. Squadron, TMNT: Turtles in Time, Super Mario World, Contra III: Alien War, all for SNES.
