I read I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell about two years ago and I thought it was one of the funniest things I've ever read. He's a terrible person, but can spin a great story.

I'm pretty sure that he and some other people were working on writing a screen play for the Austin Road Trip story. I might be wrong though

while I think that a lot of his stories are exaggerated, I don't doubt half of the stuff that he says. It's not that unbelievable. I get such a kick out of reading that shit.

Sure is. It's entitled Assholes Finish First. And oh how true that is.

But, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell is by far the funniest book I have ever read. I can't stop laughing whenever I read that book. I read that book for comic relief and whenever I need to feel better about myself.

I read this funny quote that someone left on his myspace a while back saying "Emo kids at our school are carving your name in their wrists." Haha, I thought that was the funniest thing ever.

if you think tucker max is a good writer, i'm not sure what to tell you. its not good writing. i'm not even talking about his tone or the content or that he's a dick. i think he's funny as hell. but if he were not writing comedy, the writing ability would stand out like a sore thumb.

It's kind of hard to say that though, because he hasn't really written any other genres. He's good at what he does. He might be a great prose writer too, neither of us know because he doesn't write that type of work.

Actually, he is a pretty good writer. Storytelling doesn't really reflect one's ability to write under traditional standards. I'm sure if you saw him write something academic, you might change your mind.

I enjoy his work. His writing ability is pretty good, I think, aside from his tense changes. It helps that he's an intelligent, educated person.
