I just got back from this show, and I'm a little wired so I thought I'd go ahead and give my shitty review of it. It's more of a story. Hah.

I was one of the few people who got there early, at around 2:10, and sat with my friend on garbage bags for a good hour or two. Then they put up the barricades, and we were forced to stand for the remaining time. I wasn't bored during the time waiting, it was just sort of...bland. And then of course it started to pour at around 6:30, just before they let people in and everyone tried to squeeze into the barricade area under garbage bags. That was intense.

Since we got there so early, we were like the second or third group to be let in, which was good because when we got inside there was only about twenty kids in front of the stage, which left us with good spots for the first band -- Straylight Run. They played amazingly, and it was all even better than I could have imagined. I was kind of disappointed that they only played for a short time, about 4 songs, and Michelle didn't sing though.

Then we waited around for Hot Rod Circuit to set up, which seemed to take forever, and finally they did play. The quality was good, but the crowd only knew two or three songs. And their set was way too long for an opener, and most people around me were ticked off.

And finally, Brand New. They played a really good set, in my opinion, which included a fair number of new and old songs. Although into the second song, the crowd started getting rough and Jesse cut the music and made everyone stop so someone who fell could get up. Then more than halfway into it, Chris Carrabba came on stage with Jesse, and they both sang their cover of Teenage Dirtbag. Later on, the girls from Eisley (I'm pretty sure) came out and sang too. It was pretty eventful. John Nolan even came out during 70 x 7 and sang, substituting some straylight lyrics for brand new's.

Overall, it was a great show. I don't know if anyone else who went agrees.
