Anybody else a fan of this show?

Frasier: Last night I had a dream that I was climbing an ice volcano.
Martin: Well that doesn't make any sense.
*Frasier checks answering machine*
"Frasier, it's Lilith"
Frasier and Martin: Ohhhh.

One of the few comedies I can stand with a laugh track too it.

Ha, I always feel kind of weird whenever I know what book or opera they're alluding too.

It really is one of television's truly funny comedies. As much as it recycled the same plot idea in the later seasons, the dialogue in that show is great. My parents always watched (watch still, maybe) that show, I guess that's how I got to appreciate it over the years.

One of the few comedies I can stand with a laugh track too it.I never understand how people can say that. I mean virtually every comedy up until this decade used a laugh track. I mean the number of great comedies that use one far outnumbers the few who don't for me.

They didn't revolutionize anything as far as stories go but the dialog was very intelligent comedically. And to have such a successful spin-off character last on a second show for 11 years is incredible.

I still hold a grudge against the show because of all those Emmys it stole from Seinfeld.

Oh man, I used to watch Frasier with my parents. I was probably a bit young to appreciate it fully. It'll be awesome if I watch it again now.

Roger, at Cornell University they have an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the Tunneling Electron Microscope. Now, this microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom, the infinitesimally minute building blocks of our universe. Roger, if I were using that microscope right now, I still wouldn't be able to locate my interest in your problem.

Personally I think a laugh track is more of an insult to the audience than anything, like people aren't just smart enough to figure out the joke for themselves. For myself it always brings a certain type of mob mentality. "Other people are laughing? Okay, I'll laugh too. Hey! Laughing feels good, let's watch this show so I'll laugh and feel good more often."

I know, that does sound kind of crazy.

I know, that does sound kind of crazy.Actually that's one of the reasons they're used but they do serve a purpose of helping to set a mood for a show. The problem is that sometimes they're mis-timed so when there's back to back punchlines or funny lines you end up missing the second one. Actors hate them for that reason which I can't blame them for. It's just hard to imagine the older classic comedies without them.

Great show, i used to watch it daily and then I got burnt out on it. The humor is very intellectual and offbeat but its great.
