now i know alot of people are going to disagree, but i cant stand these guys. Conors voice annoys me so much and everything about them is too whiny. these guys just blow.

Some bright eyes is ok, they have there moments, but I can't sit and just listen to a bright eyes cd while I'm sober.

i actually hear that from a ton of people about the sound of his voice mixed with the music that he plays ='ing annoying. but i totally disagree and absolutely love bright eyes. i'm sure lots of people will disagree/agree with what you said, but for me, i'm a fan.

Did you ever take the moment to listen to Conor Oberst's lyrics? I don't think Bright Eyes "just blows" when Conor Oberst has been deemed in reviews one of the best song writers of our time.

If you listened to the lyrics, you'd also see that Bright Eyes isn't whiny. Conor Oberst's voice is, but not "everything about them". Or, him, really.

He covers different topics and he does so with complexity and passion. In my opinion.

I cannot believe Bright Eyes was put into the trash talk thread. :rolleyes: Conor Oberst is so talented... if you don't care for Bright Eyes, maybe check out his other band, Desaparecidos. I'd recommend doing so.

Anyone with The Movielife in their name can't critique music. I'm not a huge fan of Bright Eyes, but the guy can't help the way his voice sounds. And his lyrics are damn good.
