So i go to my car this morning on my way my internship and im half asleep. i come back and public safety is behind my car, im thinking they are gonna write me a ticket so i tell them im just getting a bagel, and they say "have you seen your back windshield?" i look and its smashed out. Someone had gotten drunk or whatever and chose my fucking car to smash in with their hands. Nothing was stolen but now my cars a mess, i have to fill out reports and call insurance and all that shit. on top of that my windshield wipes stopped working so that has to get fixed to. but it makes me wonder why someone would do that to someone elses car. i have done nothing to anybody. i don't deserve this shit. That's honestly so fucking low for a human being to do that to someone. has anyone else had problems like this especially on a college campus?

Never had anything of the like happen. Had miscellaneous shit stolen from me in high school all the time from pseudo-thugs though. Sucks though man. Did you just not notice it, or did it happen between the time you went in to get a bagel and came back out?

Once my friend locked his keys in his care so he punched his own window out and the SWAT showed up. Irrelevant to this, and no help to your situation but just remember people are shitty in the long run.

it happened overnight, because i parked it there yesterday and its in view from my dorm room! so i went back to it last night to get something and it was fine and this morning i noticed the windshield, at first i thought it was ice. ( i was half asleep) then i noticed it when ps was standing in the back of my car. i think insurance will cover it all, thank god. as for now i gotta clean all the glass and tape the window up and then im gonna ask public safety if i can park where their office is until i get it fixed. last night i guess students tried to break into the atm down at the bank, i wonder if its the same kids....cause then we got surveillance tapes!

People are idiots... a friend of mine once got wasted and found an unlocked car and pissed all over the drivers seat at his school. Needless to say, he's an ass.

Someone spray painted words like "bitch" and "dick" on random cars in the parking lot of my old high school. No windows were broken though. Sorry to hear it happened to you.

i know a kid who smeared his own shit all over someones dashboard and wheel cuz they left their window open over night. possibly one of the sickest things you could wake up to in the morning.

That sucks. Unfortunately, I hear about it all time time. Especially on Halloween weekend cause Halloween in Isla Vista is one of the biggest parties in America. I don't have a car at school though so I don't have to worry...
Insurance should cover it though, especially cause it wasn't your fault right?

exact same thing happened to a friend at this show we were at. window was smashed but nothing was stolen. just bizarre.

thanks everyone for the support, this kind of thing sucks and its a shame people have it in them to commit such devious and immature acts. the car is now at the glass center for the week so it can stay covered and the glass gets put in. (it has to be ordered) This brings up another issue, shouldn't a college campus have security cameras in the lots? this kind of stuff happened all the time. last year, cars were getting spray painted. it seems logicial crime would be reduced if appropriate measures were taken.

It could have been the mob. Investigate all possible options before saying it was kids.

People have no respect for anyone elses things, it's terrible.
At school a while back, a girl left her back window down[on accident] and some girl poured coffee all through her back seat.

Jeeze that sucks. But it may not have been kids:
A couple months ago, around 2:30am, my dogs woke my parents up due to loud barking. Turns out this crazy old man had somehow escaped from the looney-bin and had been trying to find a place to sleep. Ergo, he takes a huge cement block from my neighbor's yard and chucks it through the back windshield of one of our cars. Having limited sucess, the police found him sleeping on a couch in my other neighbor's basement...

Wow. That's insane.
Luckily nothing like that has ever happened to me. But my friends cars have occasionally been broken into at school. It sucks.

haha interesting. yeah, i mean for all i know its some crazy old guy. a while back this year, this old guy who was schizophrenic was hiding in the womens bathroom shouting satanic messages and harassing women. 5 police cars ripped in front of my building and tried to apprehend the man, he resisted and was then body slammed on the patrol car shattering the glass. they're is all kinds of crazy fucks in the world

I think that saosin sticker on your window might be the cause of this.
I feel sorry for you though, be sure to sue the fuck out of them if you ever find out who did it.
My brother has had that happen, except, all of his CDs were taken, and the people stole the CD player from his car. (This was like 8 years ago though.)

Two years ago before my family went to Hawaii my car got broken into, glass everywhere, and my stereo got stolen... It was a horrible week also I remember it well.
But now I have a sicker deck with a Bazooka tube 12in in the back. I'm bumpin son.

Yeah. It's even worse because I live in the dry, secluded suburbs. Poor guy, friggin lost.

haha i knew going into this thread someone was going to comment a sticker being the cause of it. haha i don't think anyone at this school listens to saosin or anything of that. its all about pink floyd and classic rock up here. thats not to same their is a handful of kids that listen to sweet music. however, if i had a cute is what we aim for sticker on the car, then i would expect it to get fucked up haha

i'm sorry. that completely sucks. find the fucker who did it, and sue em for all you can. thats what i would do.
the closest thing to that to ever happen to me was getting my wallet and my camera stolen out of my purse at work last year. except it was extra lame because i worked at a kids party place and it was stolen by a parent from a party i was working. i hate people who steal/damage other peoples shit. and even worse i hate when the cops dont do anything about it.
